Frontier Gentleman
The Cat Man
by
Frontier Gentleman follows British journalist J. B. Kendall as he travels through the American West in the years after the Civil War. His work for the London Times brings him into contact with settlers, soldiers, outlaws, and other people whose lives are shaped by the frontier.
Each episode presents a self-contained Western adventure, framed by Kendall’s first-person reports and observations. The series combines the perspective of an outsider with the varied voices and situations he encounters on the trail, bringing the changing West to life through radio drama.
John Dehner stars as Kendall, giving the program a measured, observant center amid its tales of danger, hardship, and human conflict. Its thoughtful storytelling and atmospheric sound make it a distinctive Western series, balancing action with the journalist’s curiosity about the people and places he meets.
