Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar (half hour episodes)
Yours Truly Johnny Dollar related the adventures of "the man with the action-packed expense account." This beloved series has become a favorite of collectors decades after it went off the air. Six actors portrayed Johnny Dollar, the high-living insurance investigator, with fans particularly enjoying Bob Bailey's performances.
From Fall 1955, the adventures were serialized from Monday to Friday in 15-minute episodes, a format that lasted 65 weeks. The series then returned to the traditional half-hour format. The actors who played the role of Dollar included Charles Russell, Edmond O'Brien, John Lund, Bob Bailey, Bob Readick, and Mandel Kramer.
Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar was one of the last two radio dramas from the Golden Age to leave the air, with its final broadcast on September 30, 1962.
