A Room with a View
E. M. Forster
Gelesen von Kara Shallenberg (1969-2023)

When Lucy Honeychurch travels to Italy with her cousin, she meets George Emerson, a bohemian and an atheist who falls in love with her. Upon her return to England, she is forced to choose between free-spirited George and her more conventional fiancé, Cecil Vyse. The story is both a romance and a critique of English society at the beginning of the 20th century. (Summary from Wikipedia) (7 hr 45 min)

Ideal for comfort and enjoyment

Thank you to this talented narrator! I am transported whenever I listen to this book. I find more depth the more I hear it, and it must be a dozen times by now. It's one of my go-tos for comfort and enjoyment.
fun read

Very enjoyable story and the narration is superb. The lilt in Kara’s voice fits the story well and one always knows which character she is quoting.

This is a very good book that is a tad bit difficult to read, but is an overall great story! I would defiantly read this again.

Great Story, Great Reading

TriciaG
Great story - a lot of fun, and a sweet romance. Well read, as are all of Kara's readings. :)

Narrator was great, but the story was just a little underdeveloped. Not much depth, but happy ending at least.

A Mom
Enjoyed the story. The reader was consistent, could use some pre reading to improve inflection and timing.
Lovely story

A coming of age for a young woman. Masterfully read as usual by Kara.
