Interesting & informative

I enjoyed how often the author quoted Adams from his own journal. Often narrators in presidential biographies talk ABOUT the life and feelings of the presidents. This book lets you hear FROM Adams himself…over and over.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought his presidency would be talked about more but it turns out it was the least interesting part of his life. Really grew in power. Was surprised about how much he was grounded in his own views.
