Enjoyed this story

(4 stars)

A man is murdered, and a man considered a ne'er do well is accused of the murder. The prosecutor in the case is familiar with both men and does not believe that the accused is guilty. Rather than prosecute a man he believes is innocent, he recuses himself and goes to work for the defense. His plan of action is simple: dig into the past of the victim and find out who else had a motive. A wee bit predictable, but still a very good story. Reading was good.
