The Green Rust (Version 2)
Edgar Wallace
Lu par Kirsten Wever

Edgar Wallace, perhaps best known for creating King Kong, wrote dozens of novels. The Green Rust, his twelfth crime novel, is one of three books he published in 1919. It begins at the English home of the severely ill American millionaire, John Millinborn. With him are his best friend, Kitson, and a local doctor, the Dutch (or is he?) van Heerden. He is murdered in the first chapter, having just left his fortune to his niece, Oliva, whom he has never met. Before he dies, he asks Kitson to find and watch over Oliva. (Introduction by Kirsten Wever) (9 hr 49 min)

Critiques
Good story and good reader

Robin Wright
The story takes place in post WWI London, England, so for the most part, people from Germany are the bad guys. Thank you for putting on Librivox.
fantastic story!

Ameyer99
this is a great mystery / Adventure / story! I have come to enjoy the narrator she does have a bit of a monotone-ish cadence but once you get used to it it disappears and she is very good!
EAT YOUR HEART OUT IAN FLEMING!

Global take over planned. Control over the world's wheat markets. Biological warfare. All to restore German wealth after the Treaty of Versailles. A story of revenge. 1920s. Romance woven throughout.
i gave up on version one, the narrator for that was all wrong.

Jessie
the story I so enjoyed especially with Kirsten Wever reading, a big thank you!

Love this story. I hardly ever listen more than once but this one I have. Kinda cheesy, a bit melodramatic, but still very good.
