Aesop's Fables, Volume 01 (Fables 1-25)
Aesop
Gelesen von LibriVox Volunteers

Dating back to the 6th century BC, Aesop's Fables tell universal truths through the use of simple allegories that are easily understood. Though almost nothing is known of Aesop himself, and some scholars question whether he existed at all, these stories stand as timeless classics known in almost every culture in the world. This is volume 1 of 12. (Summary by Chip) (0 hr 45 min)

A LibriVox Listener
I wish that the morals were added at the end of each reading, but it was otherwise fantastic! Thanks, all!

Daniel
Very good lessons for primary school students to begin to navigate the real world.
too many copyright notices

Nick
I did very much enjoy listening to this one, which has given me much to happily ponder, but do we have to have the copyright notice 25 times in one book and every few minutes ? Fair enough you need to put this in there to some extent, though if they're in the public domain, what's the big deal that they are at the beginning of every chapter which is so short ?
Childhood memories

Asris Pant
Most of these were one way or another already told to me while in school(excluding some) ... Felt great reliving those days and learning something new in my early 20's.. And much appreciation towards all the readers all of them were sincere.. Hope to see more quality content in the future

This Libravox collection is like nails on a chalkboard! A chore to listen to, and WAY to many public domain disclaimers. Add that to reading these even short stories will put you to sleep... yuch!
whimsical and full of good morals

I love it the narration was wonderful
decent

LDS Reid
the fables were excellent but some of the readers were unbearable. i had to skip a lot of the early fables due to poor microphones, being way too loud, or being too quiet even on max volume. this needs a second reading.
timeless lessons

dnalbone
Good set of timeless lessons. Easy fix for long intros: just fast forward to :28 or :30 (except to :18 for last 4).
