Great book

Love this series and reader!

harder to follow, but a necessary bridge...

(5 stars)

One must remember that these characters are fictional and over 100 years old- even though you want to pouch up the phone and call Ruth and say, "what are you thinking???????" I had to do some re-listening because all the "she's" and "her's" get confusing. my heart aches for the Ruth's out there. We willingly put ourselves in these positions then wonder why we are miserable..... sigh..... on to the next book. (June 2021)

Who's in Charge?

(5 stars)

One of the most difficult parts of the Christian spiritual journey is the decision to turn control over to God. All of the inner peace, all of the power to change your attitudes and actions depend on surrendering your will to God's love and grace. This book is a very clear illustration of Ruth Erskine's struggle for control. One of Pansy's best.

Legalism?

(4 stars)

Pansy seemed quite legalistic in this story...father very weak...like most of her stories. Mothers too. I wonder why. There was also Sarah in this story that tormented so many people and yet she never was called on it like the author did with so many of her charactrers... Maybe I've read too many of her books too close together!!??
