This Is the Story is a radio program built around stories and subjects drawn from American life. The title suggests a narrative presentation, while this recording is identified as “This Is Singing Country,” pointing to a focus on country music.
Listeners can expect a radio treatment of its chosen subject rather than a conventional music-only collection. The program’s framing invites attention to the stories and cultural context associated with its topic, with the country-music theme providing the focus here.
The result is a period radio presentation for listeners interested in American music and storytelling. Its appeal lies in hearing a subject introduced through the distinctive, direct style of a broadcast program.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
