Welcome to the 115th Librivox Short Story Collection. Once again, our readers have selected stories sure to entertain and amuse. As always, we have some old favorites such as Mark Twain, Kate Chopin and Rabindranath Tagore, alongside side less well-known authors. Included are five stories about "Gus", by Frank S. Anthony.

The highlight of this collection is "The Cabuliwallah" by the acclaimed Indian writer Tagore. The title means "The Man from Kabul" (the capital of Afghanistan). Versions of this story by other readers can be found in "Stories from Tagore" and "The Hungry Stones". This version, read with an Anglo-Indian accent and the reader's mouth not close to the mike, benefits from slowing the speed (to 0.7) but is a real gem for its touching expression. The four "Gus" stories, well-read in an educated Australian accent, lampoon Australian and New Zealend social norms in the scathing way those nationals so adhore.
