Tales of the Texas Rangers
The Wheelchair Killer
von
Tales of the Texas Rangers brings the work of the Texas Rangers to radio in a blend of Western adventure and crime drama. Each story follows lawmen investigating cases across Texas, where tracking suspects and gathering evidence are as important as facing danger.
The program presents self-contained cases shaped by the landscape and communities of the state. Ranger investigations can involve pursuit, questioning, and careful deduction, with the action unfolding through dialogue, sound effects, and a dramatic radio cast. The result combines the conventions of a Western with the structure of a police procedural.
Its tone balances suspense and action with an emphasis on the Rangers’ methodical work. Listeners can expect a story centered on an investigation and its resolution, delivered as an atmospheric, performance-led radio drama.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
