English · Western, Dramatic Readings

Tom Mix Ralston Straight Shooters brings the adventures of cowboy hero Tom Mix to radio. This installment continues “The Mystery of the Hurricane Horse,” with the subtitle “Breaking the Stallion,” and is identified as part three of a four-part story.

The program presents a Western adventure in the dramatic style of old-time radio, using spoken performance and sound to bring its story to listeners. The title points to a mystery involving a horse, unfolding across several installments rather than as a standalone tale.

Its appeal lies in the blend of cowboy adventure and serial storytelling: listeners can follow the larger mystery while this chapter advances the story. The result is a classic radio Western centered on Tom Mix and the world of the Straight Shooters.
