Wild Bill Hickok

White Fury

English · Western, Radio, Action & Adventure

Wild Bill Hickok is a Western radio adventure centered on the legendary frontier lawman, played by Guy Madison, with Andy Devine as his loyal sidekick, Jingles. Together, they ride through a world of frontier towns, dangerous trails, and conflicts where quick judgment and courage matter.

The series blends action and suspense with the familiar rhythms of a Western adventure: trouble emerges, Hickok and Jingles investigate, and the pair face the people or dangers behind it. Madison gives Hickok a steady, heroic presence, while Devine’s Jingles brings a more comic, easygoing counterpoint to the action.

Its appeal lies in that balance of earnest heroics and companionable humor, supported by the sound of a classic radio Western. The episode title, “White Fury,” suggests a story framed by the harshness and peril of the frontier, while the series’ central partnership gives the adventure a warm, accessible character.
