The Secret of Arroyo Diablo

Wild Bill Hickok brings the legendary frontier lawman to radio in a Western adventure series starring Guy Madison as Hickok, with Andy Devine as his loyal companion, Jingles Jones. Together, the pair ride through a world of frontier towns, dangerous trails, and disputes where quick judgment and courage matter.
The program presents self-contained adventures built around the duo’s travels and encounters. Action, suspense, and humor share the stage: Hickok is the capable, steady hero, while Jingles adds a more comic, talkative counterpoint. The stories draw on familiar Western ingredients, including outlaws, threats to settlers, and the challenges of keeping order across a wide-open landscape.
With its energetic performances, clear-cut adventure, and lively partnership at its center, the series offers an accessible, family-friendly take on the radio Western. Its blend of action and comedy gives the frontier setting a spirited, companionable feel.
