An excellent narrator and a good story. Many characters to keep track of but each distinct enough to enable it. A very good story.
A good mystery

A complicated murder mystery. perhaps a few too many characters, hard to keep track of all. I was very surprised by the last few chapters.
Intriguing plot from Margery Allingham

I enjoyed listening to Terrence Callan's excellent narration of this book. The characters were fleshed out well, and they were believable. Albeit numerous and hard to keep track of at times. I found it helpful to make a search of a summary of the book and characters to keep me on track. Thank you, Librivox.

Didn’t have this in my Allingham collection; so my first time with this story. While Campion doesn’t figure as the starring detective, his appearances and contributions to the plot are crucial to the story. Well done narration; satisfying story.
Excellent

It's interesting to see Campion playing the fool to hide his actual competence. And also, someone else playing the detective. An excellent story excellently read
