The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok is a Western radio adventure series centered on the legendary frontier lawman, played by Guy Madison, and his companion Jingles, played by Andy Devine. Together, they ride through the Old West, encountering trouble and helping people caught up in danger or injustice.
The program presents self-contained adventures in a lively, dramatic style, with dialogue, sound effects, and music creating the atmosphere of the frontier. Hickok’s steady courage and Jingles’s comic, good-natured presence give the stories a balance of action and humor.
Its appeal lies in the partnership at the heart of the show: a capable lawman and an amiable sidekick facing Western perils together. The result is an accessible blend of suspense, adventure, and light comedy for listeners who enjoy classic radio Westerns.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
