From the Jimmy Clitheroe collection, this series features recordings from the personal collection of professional English comedian Jimmy Clitheroe, made in the 1950s and 1960s. He was an early adopter of the tape recorder, which he used to capture his stage act and various items of interest from radio, television, and records.

Jimmy Clitheroe, known for his cheeky schoolboy act, performed in Variety theatres, cinemas, and on BBC Radio and ITV Television. He is most famous as the star of the radio comedy series The Clitheroe Kid, which aired from 1956 until 1972. This collection includes broadcast items for which the copyright has expired, allowing listeners to enjoy his work freely.
