Reviews

This story dragged a bit which is unfortunate because I like Inspector French. The ending is rather dramatic and surprising. Good reader.

Just when you think you have the answer, Crofts delivers a twist that not only surprises you; but French as well.
Excellent
Frank Bowden
Very well read. More twists and turns than the typical Crofts mystery.
Pretty poor stuff
A LibriVox Listener
Even at the end, the so-called detective has failed to arrive at the correct solution of the mystery. The reading was so slow I had to use the 'speeder-upper' option in my reader to make the reading tolerable.
A good yarn
Andrew McFarlane
A good story line with enough twists and turns to keep up interest. Just what we have come to expect from Freeman Wills Croft

Great twists and turns, calmly and well-read, a great book for bedtime or just relaxing and using your imagination.

Not my favourite of inspector French, but the book is good and the ending tired it all up.
