A light and hopeful tale of inter-order cooperation

(reviews note: In current real-life earth science, biologists have only recently discovered evidence that individual plants and even whole forest ecosystems communicate in multiple ways including rhizome connections analogous to vast underground nervous systems, as well as chemical and pheromone broadcast, and can even communicate complex information such as distress, individual needs, and changing climactic and soil conditions.) this is a simple and entertaining and positive tale about a space explorer learning about his new plant-like alien friend and helping him in his surprisingly ancient journey. Mark Nelson's narration is excellent as always.

A wonderful tale that draws you in. As always Mark Nelson is a 5 star narrator. The book can be viewed as a juxtaposition of racism and prejudice here on earth also. I had tears in my eyes on one part and at the end. It is a fantastic read.
