Somewhat complex battle of the sexes

Mark Burchard
some complex character development and multiple power dynamics. you know it's good writing because at a couple of points you want to strangle one character or another. it's both appropriate and ironic that Tanzy's husband is a professor of sociology. of course he tries to make a science out of the magic he discovers. because of course a lot of it is negro or primitive magic and it's The White Man's burden when coming across anything beyond the tangible to study it, classify it, commodify it, and figure out how they can most cheaply Force the local population to produce it. basically the mindset that "of course we can figure out how to make magic in factories"
Brilliant

I loved this. Lots of fun, and suspenseful twists all the way to the end. Excellent work by the reader.
