Michael Frayn Clouds

Michael Frayn's drama, Clouds, presents a sharp and witty exploration of the clash between coffee and literature, or art and sugar, as rival Sunday supplement writers navigate the complexities of life under the 1970s Cuban skies. The story is told through the eyes of Owen, who embarks on a guided tour of collective farms and folk-dance companies, only to insist on uncovering the darker truths hidden beneath the surface.

This play features a talented cast including Dinsdale Landen as Owen, Morag Hood as Mara, Don Fellows as Ed, Paul Chapman as Angel, and Arturo Venegas as Hilberto. Directed by Matthew Walters, it was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1987.
