The Old Fashioned Revival Hour 1 4 1948

The Old Fashioned Revival Hour, hosted by Charles E. Fuller, celebrated its 23rd anniversary on January 4, 1948. This special broadcast featured the theme of salvation, based on 1 Timothy 1:15.

In 1925, Charles E. Fuller recognized the potential of radio for evangelism, leading to the first broadcast of the Old Fashioned Revival Hour on October 3, 1937, over the Mutual Network. The program quickly gained popularity, and by 1941, it was being broadcast from the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium, attracting thousands of servicemen during World War II.

Fuller and his musicians traveled across North America, holding citywide rallies that were often broadcast live. The Fuller Evangelistic Foundation was established in 1943, and in 1947, the Fuller Theological Seminary opened in Pasadena, California, to train evangelical Christian leaders.
