Bram Stoker The Lair Of The White Worm
Bram Stoker
Play of the Week presents Bram Stoker’s gothic tale of horror, adapted by Brian Wright. Set in 1870 in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, the story follows Adam Salton, who visits his elderly uncle in the village of Penda's Dale. He soon realizes that the disappearance of several local men is not accidental.
The production features a specially commissioned soundtrack from the San Francisco-based sound sculptors Matmos. It stars Jimi Mistry as Adam Salton, Peter Marinker as Dr. Daniel Salton, and Ben Crowe as Frank Davenport. This adaptation brings to life Stoker's last novel, first published in 1911, which explores themes of ancient evil and lurking horrors.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.

Bram Stoker was an absolute genius in the genre. I don’t think I’d have ever wanted to know his internist thoughts! Brilliantly done story as well.
