OTRR Life with Luigi Singles


Life with Luigi is a charming radio series that follows the adventures of Luigi Basco, an Italian immigrant trying to make a new life in Chicago. Created by Cy Howard, the show debuted in September 1948 and quickly became a part of CBS's popular Sunday night lineup. With its unique blend of comedy and drama, it aimed to portray the immigrant experience in a light-hearted yet respectful manner.

The series featured J. Carrol Naish in the lead role and was notable for its innovative production techniques, including the use of two orchestras to enhance the storytelling. Despite facing challenges in its early years, including competition from other shows and changes in sponsorship, Life with Luigi managed to capture the hearts of its audience and remained on the air until 1953.
