The Clitheroe Kid : 1950s / 60s British Radio Comedy Vintage instalments of the classic radio comedy starring Jimmy Clitheroe . The source of those items marked 'Dermot A Maher' is understood to be the collection circulated in 2008 by Derek Boyes , who between 2005-08 conducted a three year hunt for recordings of the show taped by listeners from the original broadcasts, in a huge public appeal made across the whole of the UK by advertising in local newspapers for old reels and audio cassettes of the show. Derek found some missing episodes, and a lot of better quality recordings of episodes for which some type of recording had previously been known. Presented here are only episodes for which the broadcaster's copyright has expired.
