
Jack Benny 49 02 20 The Horn Blows At Midnight
In this episode, Jack Benny has a contract to appear on The Ford Theater to perform a radio version of "The Horn Blows at Midnight." However, the Ford Theater director, Fletcher Markle, visits Jack to persuade him not to do that play on the program. Jack Warner from the Warner Brothers Studio also stops by to convince Benny to forgo reviving the play, even offering him money and a partnership in the studio.
As if that weren't enough, Mr. Paley of CBS calls to try and stop Jack as well. This episode showcases the humorous pressures Jack faces from various influential figures in the industry.
