I had been anxious about 'the fig tree', without recalling the story of it. Like any garden path we find ourselves on, it's comforting to remember Jesus used this example to show if He couldn't get sustainance from a fig tree we see along the way, that it will be 'dried up by the roots' and not distract us or those who come along after or before us, in finding the right way for all. As a friend, woman, mother, and neighbour, this is good caring confirmation of living with light, and leaving simple ignorance and any tricks behind. Well intended by whoever planted the tree in the first place, or not.
