Really well read account of a journey through the rivers rapids and forests of Maine guided by an indian in the 1850s. Full of details of wood craft . Relaxing as well as informative & entertaining. Thank you Melissa Green for reading Thoreau’s work

This is my favorite book by the great Henry Thoreau. I think I’ve read everything he wrote, but I keep returning to this.
