Unusual western theme

Pretty good western tale. Despite the title, doesn't really cover how oil was discovered in cattle country. Apparently all that happens while our hero is in prison falsly accused of manslaughter. A good description of fighting a wildfire is included and provides plenty of excitement.

New favorite reader

2018 - Enjoyable listen. Loved the accent twang. Hate to admit this, but I need a translator for some of it. (western gal)

This is the first book I've listened to from this author and first time hearing this reader. VERY PLEASED! Don't fi d too many books that have such good characters, men like the ones that built America that you would be honored to know and cheer for, beautifully feminine, capable women that know how to support their family. The narrator & his audio quality is top shelf!! Wish I had a dozen or so more of these to enjoy. Saved this one to my favorites.
