"Birds and Nature" was a monthly publication of the Nature Study Publishing Company of Chicago. It includes short poems, anecdotes and factual descriptions of birds, animals and other natural subjects with accompanying color plates. This is quite a wonderful series - thank you very much to all Librivox volunteers who help preserving it! It was also interesting to hear that it seemed they thought the quagga was still around in 1901, whereas now it's believed it was extinct already by the late 1880s...
