Critiques

Thank you, Celine!

(5 stars)

I can’t believe this novel isn’t available anywhere else. It is an amazing read and I am very grateful for Celine Major for reading the whole thing with excellent French pronunciation. Again, thank you so much for reading the whole thing and keeping this great novel in circulation for everybody to enjoy.

SAD!

(3.5 stars)

The whole story gives the impression that evil would be crushed and those suffering would be saved. Did not expect such a sad ending and wished I hadn't listened to all 6 volumes now. The narrator is really excellent, but just wanted to give a warning to others who try to avoid sad stories.

HORRIBLE ENDING

(3 stars)

throughout all the volumes, I kept wondering why the heroine kept saying that she's not worthy because of the life she's lived, and nobody corrected her that she was the victim and she was NOT the criminal. Placing the guilt on the victim is in itself a crime.

(4.5 stars)

I really enjoyed listening to these books. But if I had known how it would end I would not have read them. So disappointing.

a fine reading of a very long and quite ridiculous tale, full of absurd coincidences and purple prose.
