Critiques

good reader. hope she does more

story clearly read. main character is actually thoughtful, she doesn't just give her second best, but her best. Plus, it showed a minority in good light and respect.

like an original Nancy Drew

The reader is pretty good, and the story, while somewhat predictable in outcome, has a morality that is refreshing in its candor. There are benefits to reading books from a different age, not least of which is seeing the faults of previous times, as well as the strengths.

good!

It was a good book. The heroines did a few things that wouldn’t happen in real life, but over all it was fun with plenty of twists! The girls are less squeamish than is usual in older books, which was definitely appreciated.

Fun Story and Good Mystery

Excellent Reader! A really great mystery with sweet and kind girls, kept me guessing till the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

The Story and the Reader are great, but I hate the advertisements, also they are much louder than the reader and it really hurts my ears!

an interesting story. a bit childish maybe but after all it was written for a young audience. I liked the reader.

Easy book to follow

Great good. Pre-teen level. Cari Shorrock interpreted the story very well. Wish she recorded more books.
