Reviews

JUST RIGHT

(5 stars)

Roger does his usual great job of narrating, but, despite what some comments implied, he did not save the book. It is a well-done novel of suspense, skillfully woven to a classic finish. Two things for those who complained about it's length (which really was not very long): 1 Products of our current generation want instant gratification, not quality; 2 They probably consider "THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO" to be too long.

worth listening to

(4 stars)

This story builds in sections to an unexpected conclusion. chapters can stand alone as individual short tales. A story that makes good reading/listening.

interesting and twisty

(4 stars)

Lots of twists in this interesting plot. Well narrated by Roger Melin, his usual. 👍

one of my favorite readers

(3 stars)

looooong story or it took so much time to get to the point. culprit was pretty obvious but still it was a good listen.

Nicely read, but dull story

(0.5 stars)

The tale starts out with promise, but then simply drags on & on & on pointlessly. Couldn’t endure to the end. The monotony killed any interest in whatever may have been the outcome.

(3.5 stars)

Interesting story and entertaining. Several of the characters are totally thick and I find myself wishing to enter the story to smack them. Can one face such tragic disasters and still remain that naive?

A long book

(2 stars)

If you read 3/4 of a book where someone was caught in the house trying to kill the lot and the police are not called, would you continue it? Not me.

Too melodramatic

(3 stars)

Roger is an exceptional reader but even he couldn't help me to hold my interest. I skipped to the last two chapters and am glad to have done this.
