I really did enjoy this mystery a lot ! I listened to it without stoopping! Had a nice amount of suspects & I didn't figure out who was guilty but I did figure out who several people were very early in book! Very great job by reader as she always is a treat to listen to I feel! I just found it to be a nice not to long or drawn out mystery to listen to on a lazy Sunday!
delightful find

I have never read anything by this author before. This was a delightful mystery. The unusual Detective (s) made the whole story feeling delightfully fresh for a murder mystery. It had me stunts right to the end. Superbly read!
Well read

I was so happy to listen to this story. A new reading by Jo Smallheer who's talent for entertaining while she reads is second to none. I have missed listening to her contributions she is my favourite reader on Librivox. she can bring even the dullest book to life. Jo we need more!!!!
utterly charming
Hann Norris
engaging, complex, tongue in cheek characters, a strong female lead seen from the perspective of the man who thinks he is the main character, clever whodunit....just great. i really loved the mix of endearing and infuriating traits in our narrator. brief casual reference to romani people using dated language, but very little if any pointed racism...maybe some stereotyping of italians though.

Great book with lots of fun characters and plot twists. Has a strong female detective, too.

Really really good! I loved it. Perfect amount of character's with wondeful character development, just enough twists and turns and a worthy ending. I had no idea who did it until it was revealed. Read by a very fine reader. 100% recommend.
