I really love these books!! I was reluctant for awhile, I thought, what do I care about space sailors? But, turns out I care.....a lot!!! I got completely sucked into quarter share and I've been hungrily listening to the rest. Thanks for reading to me, sir! ;)

I can not praise this series enough. It has been a very long time since I have gotten into a series this much. The characters and dialog are fantastic. It seems very real, with dialog that is believable and makes me laugh several times. I look forward to the rest of this series and am kind of sad I will finish the series up in about a week. Please, keep writing stories like this. If I had money I would so gladly pay for these books, sadly I am perpetually broke.

like the story but can do without the sex

An 18 year old would not be this skilled and capable. Thirty, maybe, but not 18. Again, I like the story idea and a lot of the characters. It would be great if sci fi writers could (or would be willing to) grapple with the realities of intimacy - which is that casual sex isn't satisfactory for women, and that it isn't good for men. Regardless of what fantasy regarding that men prefer to entertain.

I very much enjoyed book 3 of this series. It's so nice to liste

the third book in this series has been wonderful. It's a delight to read a story that's not going from one crisis to the next. The characters are delightful funny and heartwarming. Can't wait to read the next one.

These books were recently recommended on John Scalzi's website (Whatever), which led me here. Great stuff! I realise I'm late to the party, but you may want to know that there is an unedited fluff in this episode (roughly 3/4 of the way in, the scene where Pip is about ...

I don't normally leave reviews but for this book, or rather this whole series, I feel the need to. what could so easily have been yet another vapid space opera has in fact turned out to be one of the best stories I've read/ heard I. a long time. the characters continue to grow and you actually care about them. which is a rare thing in many podiobooks. this tale has turned out to be poignant, well written and moving. with just the right amount of salaciousness thrown in for good measure ! the first two books were good but I felt it really became great here in book three. if you're reading the reviews before listening to this series just do it. Download the whole series now and settle in. I hope the author keeps this going for a long time to come

Continuing my second listen of the series....what a treat. This book has an engaging coming of age theme that is poignantly reflective and at the same time full of future possibilities and hope. Nathan...I love how you have created and developed so many real characters and relationships. The sense of adventure created through the interplanetary trading theme is a masterful narrative. I appreciate the detail. Ultimately.. I had recollection of my own life...leaving school and heading to college...the ssdness of saying goodbye to close friends...mixed with the excitement of moving forward...to claim my destiny. So looking forward to the next book...

more of the same

Not as good as one, but certainly better than two. Thing is, it is all starting to sound a bit the same. A bit like just another episode of Coronation Street. Again there are many references to relationships and Hollywood sex and personally I find that tiresome and skipped past it. The other thing is that everything always turns out perfectly and that also is a bit syrupy and hard to take in. So in summary, it is okay without being mind blowing.
