Vox Pop
NPR has said that Vox Pop was the first "Quiz Show" but that was sort of peripheral to the show, which was produced in a different location each week. It billed itself as the "premier audience participation show" and now these short interviews provide a keyhole glimpse into the era in which it was created.
These recordings capture the essence of the time and offer a unique perspective on the interactions between the audience and the show. Enjoy this fascinating look back at a pioneering format in radio history.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
