Romance
Gelesen von Frank Graham
Theater of Romance, also known simply as Romance, aired on CBS from 1943 to 1957. This captivating series served as a 30-minute filler for various old time radio shows, featuring a rotating cast of directors, performers, and producers while maintaining its romantic theme.
During its run, the show gained popularity, especially when it was sponsored by Colgate Tooth Powder from 1944 to 1946. This sponsorship brought in big names such as Henry Fonda, Errol Flynn, Humphrey Bogart, Shirley Temple, Orson Welles, Gregory Peck, and James Stewart, making it akin to a half-hour version of the Lux Radio Theater.
Frank Graham hosted the show for most of its years, and in its later years, it was simply referred to as "Romance," featuring top Old Time Radio performers. A variety of episodes from 1943 to 1957 are available, showcasing the charm and allure of this beloved series.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
