Clearing Audio File Rights for TV SERIES?

(4 étoiles)

I am working on a new documentary tv series about the 1950's and 1960's for the Discovery Network and trying to figure out the rights situation for the radio broadcasts under the WW11 Archive: http://archive.org/details/1960-1969RadioNews I am not interested in the music -just the news portions so we can provide an authentic background sound in various scenes. Specifically, I want to inquire about WKNR Detroit – Keener 13 (which is now Fresh 100 and owned by Clear Channel). The WKNR links are on the right side of the screen on RadioNews and I am interested in #37 -#40; #44; #45; #52; #70; #82. WKNR has been dark for years. The new station owner has no jurisdiction over WKNR. So I believe the news portion might be public domain. Would anybody be able to help me clarify this? Thanks for your time and consideration! Wow! Thanks a million!

What no-one posted a comment! I will be delighted to be the first then. I JUST found this room by chance surfing Google even though I list to Archives show quite often. Am just now listening to a 1960 Shepard after Dwight Weise's weather forecast of puffy clouds over Times Square! :) And I briefly heard a Monitor January 1960s show. The rest of this has to be priceless. Thanks to the person who posted all this.
