Mark Trail follows the adventures of a nature-loving outdoorsman and newspaper reporter whose work brings him into contact with wildlife, wilderness, and the people whose choices affect the natural world. The series draws on the popular comic strip, centering on Trail’s concern for conservation and his practical knowledge of the outdoors.
Presented as a radio adventure, the program uses dialogue and sound to bring its stories to life. Listeners encounter outdoor settings and situations involving animals, environmental concerns, and human conflicts, with Mark’s reporting and field experience guiding the action.
The result is an earnest, family-friendly adventure with a strong interest in nature and conservation. Its appeal lies in the combination of suspenseful storytelling and an appreciation for the wild places and creatures at the heart of Mark Trail’s world.
