Theater of Romance presents romantic stories in the intimate, expressive style of classic radio drama. This recording is identified with the title “Petticoat Fever,” suggesting a story centered on romance and its complications.
Listeners can expect a dramatized performance shaped by spoken dialogue and the atmosphere of radio storytelling, where voices and sound carry the scene. The program offers a self-contained dramatic experience rather than a narrated reading.
Its appeal lies in the period’s direct, theatrical approach to romance: a chance to follow a love story through performance and imagination, with the warmth and immediacy of an old-time radio broadcast.
