Inner Sanctum
No Coffin for the Dead
by
Inner Sanctum is a mystery and horror radio series framed by the sardonic introductions of host Raymond Edward Johnson, whose dry humor sets the stage for tales of murder, menace, and the uncanny. Each story draws listeners into a world where ordinary people encounter unsettling secrets and danger.
The program presents self-contained dramatic stories, brought to life through dialogue, sound effects, and a moody musical atmosphere. Johnson’s opening and closing remarks provide a wry counterpoint to the suspense, while the drama builds through ominous scenes and unexpected turns.
With its blend of macabre storytelling and dark wit, Inner Sanctum offers classic radio suspense that is atmospheric without losing its playful edge. “No Coffin for the Dead” is presented as an episode of the series.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
