Proudly We Hail is a dramatic radio series centered on the experiences of members of the United States armed forces. Its stories bring military life and service into focus through the people facing its demands, offering a human perspective on duty, courage, and sacrifice.
The program presents self-contained dramatic stories, using dialogue, performance, and radio sound to convey the situations and emotions of military life. The title “History in the Making” frames this installment around a historical theme.
The series combines patriotic feeling with personal drama, making its appeal less about military detail alone than about the choices and relationships shaped by service. Its straightforward radio storytelling offers a window into the values and concerns associated with wartime and postwar America.
