The Eddie Cantor Show features comedian and singer Eddie Cantor in a variety-radio setting. Cantor’s lively personality and musical performances are at the center, bringing together comedy and song in an entertainment program built around his distinctive style.
As a radio variety show, it offers a mix of spoken humor and music rather than a single continuous dramatic story. The title identifies this recording with “Camille,” while Cantor’s performance provides the program’s central thread.
The listening experience is bright and theatrical, with the quick shifts between comedy and song characteristic of variety entertainment. Cantor’s energetic delivery gives the program its personality and makes it a snapshot of his work on radio.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
