Foy Willing and the Riders of the Purple Sage
Cowboy Tunes and Western Harmonies
von
Foy Willing and the Riders of the Purple Sage bring a Western musical sound to the radio, centered on Willing and his singing group. Their program offers cowboy songs and Western harmonies, with the music itself at the heart of the listening experience.
The blend of lead vocals and group singing gives the show a warm, open range character. Listeners can expect a musical program shaped by the traditions of Western and cowboy music, rather than a spoken narrative or a single-reader performance.
Its appeal lies in the straightforward pleasure of hearing a Western vocal group perform together: clear melodies, close harmonies, and a relaxed, homespun atmosphere.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
