The Devil and Mr. O
Neanderthal
by
The Devil and Mr. O is a radio series hosted by John J. O’Connor, exploring the supernatural, the unexplained, and the strange corners of human experience. Its episodes draw on subjects such as folklore, unusual beliefs, and mysterious events, presenting them in a documentary-style format rather than as conventional fictional drama.
The program combines narration and discussion to examine its topics, inviting listeners to consider competing explanations and the cultural ideas surrounding them. The episode title “Neanderthal” points to a subject connected with early human history, approached within the series’ broader interest in mysteries and the unusual.
The result is thoughtful and atmospheric: a program for listeners who enjoy curious questions, measured storytelling, and radio that explores the boundary between what is known and what remains uncertain.
