It's Cold in Here
von
The Light Crust Doughboys were a Western swing band formed in Texas, known for bringing lively country music to radio audiences. Their sound blends fiddle, guitar, and other dance-band instruments, with a bright, rhythmic style rooted in the music of the American Southwest.
The program centers on musical performance rather than a narrated story, offering songs in the band’s distinctive country-and-swing style. The title “It's Cold in Here” suggests a song or segment presented in this recording, while the listening experience is shaped by the ensemble’s playing and vocal delivery.
Warm, energetic, and closely tied to Texas dance-hall traditions, the Doughboys’ music offers an inviting snapshot of early Western swing and the radio entertainment built around it.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
