The Frank Parker Show features singer Frank Parker in a radio entertainment program centered on popular music. Parker was known for his warm baritone voice and for performing songs from the popular repertoire.
Listeners can expect a musical broadcast built around vocal performances rather than a dramatic storyline. The title references “Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart,” a well-known song, and suggests a program with a light, romantic musical character.
Parker’s straightforward, personable singing gives the show an easygoing appeal for listeners who enjoy classic popular song and the intimate style of radio-era vocal entertainment.
