The Frank Sinatra Program
My Sugar Is So Refined
von
The Frank Sinatra Program features singer Frank Sinatra in a radio variety setting, with music at its center. Sinatra’s smooth, intimate vocal style gives the program its focus, presenting popular songs in performances shaped for listening at home.
Alongside the musical selections, the show follows the variety-radio tradition of combining songs with spoken introductions and other entertainment. The result is a program built around Sinatra’s voice and personality rather than a single dramatic storyline.
Its appeal lies in hearing a major popular singer in a period radio performance: polished, relaxed, and closely connected to the songs. This installment is identified as “My Sugar Is So Refined.”
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
