John Steinbeck - East Of Eden
John Steinbeck
John Steinbeck's epic tale explores the nature of good and evil, inspired by the story of Cain and Abel. This dramatization, adapted by Donna Franceschild and directed by Kirsty Williams, brings to life the complex relationships and dark drama of the Trask family.
In three gripping episodes, we follow Cathy Ames, a young woman who instills unease in her parents, and the brothers Adam and Charles Trask, whose bond is fraught with tension. As their lives intertwine, the story delves into themes of love, betrayal, and the struggle between good and evil.
First published in 1952, East of Eden is a powerful narrative that captures the essence of human nature and familial conflict, set against the backdrop of California's Salinas Valley.

A Riveting Tale
Borgia Swaby
This story was riveting, it covered every human emotion. Love, loss, jealousy, sadness to name a few. Cathy's character stood out to me the most, she seemed so unpredictable and unrepentant about anything. Funny how Charles and Cal seem to have the same character traits, whilst Adam and Aaron seem to be more mild mannered.
Pretty Good

Fast and brutal! A very well done dramatization. The BBC Chronicles of Narnia set the standard for dramatized audio books, but this one is pretty good!
