Five quiet years have passed in Starland, California since the the time of the Pocket. But when a crazed old man shows up with a warning, Max, Casey, Ian and Sasha suddenly find themselves on the run. Max and Ian go through an Arch back to 1912, where a mysterious Machine is under construction that seems connected to Max’s unremembered secret. Meanwhile, Casey and Sasha follow the old man to the strange town of Arturo Gyp.

But there is more afoot than meets the eye: the enemies of Mr. E - the nefarious Archons - are abroad. And when Max is at last eye-to-eye with his secret, he realizes nothing will ever be the same again...

The author seems to have learned from and corrected the mistakes from the first book. There are times when he starts to work back into too much exposition. He weaves a fascinating world with likable characters. Ian finally comes into his own. Now if we can only teach him how to say "sequel " correctly

The Max Quick series are absolutely gorgeous! Every time I think I know what will happen next, something totally different happens. Wonderful! Also, I love all the different characters and I think it's great how every one of the travelers gets to play his/her own role in the story. I ...

Is it me, or is episode 12 cut off? it seems to stop mid sentence. I downloaded the file twice now, and both stop at the same point. both are 30mins49 long... seems to me to be a bit short

Ah never mind. That's episode 13 that contained the rest. Bit weird to cut it off there. :S
